One of the major programmes organised by the Muslim College is a specialist course attended by mature government officers from the Department of Islamic Development, Malaysia drawn across all sectors of the civil service and NGOs. The primary aim of the programme is to introduce participants to the workings and challenges faced by a modern secular state. The course is conducted through seminars,
lectures and visits. It covers theoretical understandings, analysis, practical projects and social interactions.
Now running for more than twenty years, the Muslim College’s Malaysian programme has helped participants to acquire new ideas and improve existing one on how to exist in a plural
society. The Muslim College is proud to have worked with various branches of the Malaysian government to help produce such a programme, and we pray this programme continues to
succeed and grow for many years to come.
